The drive to Pohara was not quite what we anticipated! The gradients and hairpin bends outdo any we have seen in Europe - and we are driving the equivalent of a big white van. We said a silent prayer of thanks when we arrived safely in Pohara for lunch and a paddle in the calm clear water of this huge bay.
