This morning we visited the thermal reserve at Te Puia where we saw geysers shooting steam high into the air. Also at Te Puia there are mud pools where gas escaping from deep underground bubbles to the surface. We also saw Mauri students learning traditional skills such as wood carving and weaving fibres obtained from the flax plant.
