Glo Worm Caves
At last sunshine! Drove from Auckland to Rotorua in beautiful sunshine stopping off at the Waitomo Glo worm caves. Unfortunately photographs were not allowed but we were guided through numerous caverns containing fascinating formations of stalagmites and stalagtites. The tour culminated in a Phantom of the Opera style boat ride along an underground river lit only by millions of glo worms in the cavern roof.

It all brings back memories, but think I had much better weather than you 2 are having. Although the trip through the hole in rock was cold with sleet and hail, at least the dolphins came out to play! Keep having fun. Liz
